Wouldn't do it again

Sail Date: July 21, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship felt dark and old. Every thing seemed cramped.

Pros: Food

Cons: Crowded, small cabins, lines for buffet, tables not clean

Recommends Carnival Sensation? No.

Ship Quality
Small boat, very little space, felt claustrophobic the whole trip. The decor felt dated, but most public areas were very clean. The one exception was the dining tables. At meals times in the buffet area, the tables were not cleaned in a timely manner, so it was hard to find a clean table to eat at.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very small room that smelled of smoke. Once the steward was told, though, he did an ozone treatment and it was much better. He did keep the room very clean, too.
The singer in the Show Band was AWFUL. She was off pitch or making up her own tune most of the time. She seemed more interested in how she looked than how she sounded. The one glowing muscian is the sax player. Not only is she great on the sax, but has a beautiful singing voice as well. Wish they had showcased her.
Service and Staff
Staff smiled and said hello, but that was the extent of it.
Food and Dining
Love, love love the food. Got to try some things I'd never had. Only thing I'd skip would be the sushi bar. It wasn't very good.
