Review SummaryThis ship is old and looks like Elvis' 60's pad...and it smells like he's still there. It reeks of cigarette smoke and sweat that has been washed over but was unable to clean. The bed linens were old and not clean. The water from the sink has a distinct oder of additives.
We could not get the AC to cool our room and it was hot and stuffy. We did have a big window in our room and that was nice. They put the three of us into one room which was fine. But the third bed extends from the ceiling like a Murphy bed.. You have to be either young and agile or a circus performer to get into the bed. I wish they had explained this to us BEFORE we booked the room. The food was okay...not what we used to get on cruise ships...but still lots of food whenever you want it. When we rec'd our bill before we left, it was around $1000 for us three. We did one excursion in Nassau. It was not clearly explained to us that we would spend ALL day Saturday on the boat, sailing. We could not figure out why it took so long to get back home.
I'm sure many of the people on the ship had a good time...it was a very blue collar group who seemed to enjoy themselves for the most part.
Also...we would not have taken this trip if we had realized that it was Labor Day in the Bahamas....ALL of the downtown stores were closed so there was no shopping!
All in all we were disappointed. I'm washing everything we took with us because the Oder of the ship lingers on with us. We will not make this mistake again.
