Carnival is different

Sail Date: January 30, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

Ship is decorated with what I view as cheap glitz...a mixture of 70s and art deco with wierd color combinations. outside stateroom needs a comfortable chair.
Price of cruise was very good but you get what you pay for.
As the comedian on board said about Freeport "Who the %$&# picked this place?"....Nassau on the other hand has much more to offer.

Pros: dining room staff

Cons: ship decor

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Shows were loud and unexeptional...Male comedian was very funny, female comedian was not.
Ship Quality
Decor is not appealling....certainly not classy in the traditional sense.
Food and Dining
Food ranged from fair to very good. Selection is good. Not gourmet fare but usually good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Need a comfortable chair in stateroom...has king size bed, queen would allow for more space.
Service and Staff
Wait staff was excellent. All crew was helpful
Nassau, Bahamas
Tour Atlantis, but they get $39 to see all of it. Go outside and make your own deal with the cabs...get a city tour for less that way
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
Freeport is small with really nothing of note except for the amazing Radisson conference center
