We took the Carnival Sensation out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas. As usual, the interior of the ship was very nice, EXCEPT, the smell of smoke was everywhere. Upon entering our cabin, we immediately called guest services to see what could be done with the strong odor. Althought we were told smoking is allowed everywhere ( in this day and age, that sounded strange to us ), they did come and odorize the room. This helped some but the linger of smoke was always presnt. For none smokers, this was certainly a "CON". The service staff ( room , waiter, etc ) were excellent. We thought our cabin Steward was invisible, he was so quick. The weather was cool, so the ports of call were a challenge. Also, having cruised many times with many carriers, we were disappointed in the nightly shows. Actually there weren't shows each night. Also we couldn't find any interesting places to have a drink and watch a performer. One issue that could have helped the overall experience is if Carnival had an island to visit like Royal Cab. or Disney or if they had a movie theatre. With cool ports of call it was a little boring aboard.
