Fabulous Cruise

Sail Date: October 17, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship seemed like an "older" ship in that it didn't have very many balconies. However, it has been maintained and updated wonderfully so everything was beautiful inside the ship.

Pros: Service

Cons: Price of drinks

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Ship Quality
Finding our way around was a little tricky. I carried the map everywhere we went to make sure we were on the right end before climbing the stairs.
Food and Dining
Every evening we thought we had the "best" meal only to get something even better the next!
Cabin / Stateroom
Plenty of room, a very comfortable king-size bed and the balcony was the perfect addition! We were near the back of the ship, which was fine.
Service and Staff
We had called our stateroom steward for a hair dryer and before we hung up the phone, she was knocking on the door with it! The same thing for ice or any other request we had! Service was exceptional throughout, although the bartenders could have more personality!
Entertainment
We couldn't make it to all the shows we wanted to see, but what we did see, we thoroughly enjoyed!
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
The markets get tiring after a while of ladies yelling at you to buy their wares. We decided to walk away from the shopping area and hit the beach. Much better, except for the salespeople strolling the beach while you're trying to relax.
Don't Miss: Lie on the beach at the Raddison. Beautiful pool/beach/bar area!
Nassau, Bahamas
Best lunch at the Iguana on Bay Street. Our cab driver/tour guide recommended it and we loved it! We took a two-hour tour and really enjoyed learning about the island. Used the public beach, but it was full of broken glass.
Don't Miss: Senor Frogs
