3 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 19, 2010
Ship: Carnival Sensation
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)
Reviewed: 7 years ago

While the Sensation is quite older in comparison to many ships, I didn't mind the decor. The staterooms were lovely and the waterpark was awesome. The pool and hottubs were always quite busy, but we enjoyed the water park deck anyways.

Food and Dining

A bit disappointed in the food. Expected much more. The dining room food was good but the buffet and other food places were average cafeteria type food.

Enjoyed the 80's type show and also the adult comedy...both were very good.

Did a great job offering a variety of activities for all ages.

Service and Staff

Kinda expected more....dining room waiter awesome. Room steward great , but funny enough the guest service staff were somewhat miserable and aloof.

Very nice stateroom. Spacious, clean, big oceanview window.

Loved the locals...loved the water....loved the Stingray adventure at Blackbeard's Cay (book ourself since Carnival does not offer it as a shore excursion). Well worth it....and very reasonable in price.
Don't Miss: Blackbeard's Cay Stingray adventure.

Pros: Our stateroom was lovely. We had the oceanview stateroom with the extra twin bunks and a rollaway. Very spacious for even five of us.

Cons: We found the serv ice could have been better. Very pushy with selling drinks and many tables left messy for quite sometime.

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!
