A wonderful first time cruise

Sail Date: August 12, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

This is our first cruise so we cannot compare it to others. However, it met and exceeded our expectation. The thing we enjoyed the most was the "fun" factor. They made it fun: from the high energy entertainment shows to the singing and dancing by the dinner servers. You won't get bored on the ship as there is always something to do besides just relaxing under the sun.

Pros: The food, the fun factor

Cons: The pool was too deep (starting at 4') for little ones

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Children's Programs
We did not take advantage of this.
Ship Quality
With the map provided, it was easy to get around.
Food and Dining
Food was good and of variety. Dinner menu and lunch buffet change daily. However, the breakfast and lunch buffet lines were too long.
Cabin / Stateroom
Bedding was of hotel quality.
Service and Staff
The dinner servers were very friendly and helpful. They brought us different dishes to try even though we had not asked for it.
Quality nightly shows.
Nassau, Bahamas
We went to Cable beach and enjoyed the beach there. The water was clear and the water was calm.
