The ship was older/smaller . One small pool that just had too many people in it for my family to enjoy- three jacuzzis that were not hot enough. Food was great - dining experience was alot of fun - great server, steward service was great. Got to sit w/another wonderful family of 5 !! Deck party on Friday night was not long enough !! If you plan an excursion on Friday afternoon - please know that if you pick early seating for dinner - you will be rushing back to get ready for dinner and will not be able to go to "the straw market" for shopping. Those shops close by 6pm. We took a taxi to Atlantis after dinner to walk around, but the shopping is expensive, not too much to pick from and you miss the "bartering" experience.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food at all meals. Dining room was wonderful. Lines moved quickly for buffet area. Room service was prompt. Enjoyed trying new foods at dinner from the wonderful menu where you can have as many items as you want.

Entertainment

The shows were lame. Be ready for a couple of "thong" ladies in the dances if you have kids. Comedians were either not funny or crude. Deck party was not long enough - more dancing and excitement next time. Lots of photo set up opportunities throughout the boat w/different scenes - but each one is $10-$20 if you buy them.

Service and Staff

Staff were great.

Ship Quality

Probably needs new carpet to get smoke smell out. Only one shop on board that has souvenirs and most of them are "Carnival" souvenirs. Getting on and off the ship was a breeze each time. All areas were always clean, neat, picked up.

Cabin / Stateroom

Steward did an excellent job. One of our rooms slept three - two twin beds and a pull down wall bed (twin murphy style bed) that uses a ladder to get to. It stays in the closed position during the daytime. Would not use for children under age 9.

We snorkeled which was excellent through Carnival. However, if you have early seating then you will NOT get to shop in the straw market. Stores close at 6pm.

Pros: Food was great

Cons: Inside "group" areas smelled like smoke

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!
