Review Summary
First Carnival cruise, but not first cruise. We knew beforehand that the ship was old as in cruise ship age, but were astounded that the colors and decor throughout the ship were stuck somewhere around 1977. Purples, orange and similar neon lights were everywhere except the dining rooms. Besides that, there weren't ANY distractions. The entire staff was a mix of so many nationalities that it made each encounter with them a pleasure. All staff, from the Captain to the the guy with a vacuum cleaner were first concerned with taking care of the guests needs. Because the staff was so international, it made it more fun for us with each encounter. The cruise was perfectly stress free and the amount, variety and quality of food was an A plus. We never expected the quality of the shows to be so good. I guess the stage people tried harder being led by such an expert Cruise Director. We'd go on this boat again without hesitation and probably will next year.Pros: Food, boarding, clean room and bath, well kept ship, great bed, live shows.
Cons: Mixed drinks were rated C, decor, library had no magazines and not staffed much.
