An okay experience

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

I would recommend this ship to those who are traveling without children and those who are traveling with friends. My first impression was that this cruise was going to be a bit "wild". Once onboard, the alcohol began to flow. Within the first hour there were 20-somethings using a funnel to chug beer by the pool. My daughter, who is 4, never got into the pool because it was ALWAYS full of wild, intoxicated young adults.

Pros: Good Food and nice staterooms

Cons: Lots of singles, lots of drinking, not really appropriate for children

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Ship Quality
With the exception of spilt alcohol, the ship's public areas were clean. More shopping would have been nice.
Food and Dining
Entertainment
Most activities were focused on an adult crowd.
Cabin / Stateroom
Staterooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of storage for suitcases and clothing.
Service and Staff
My daughter lost her "blankie" when it was accidentally picked up in the bed linens and sent to the ships laundry room. When she realized that her blankie was missing, she had a melt down! The ships crew searched the laundry room and returned it the very next day. They really saved us from a bad situation!
Children's Programs
We didn't leave our daughter in the childrens area, however we did stop in for certain events and the staff seemed very friendly.
Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau was beautiful. We did the Atlantis Dolphin Adventure. It was nice, however the trip to get to the dolphin adventure was exhausting, and once again... no water to drink! A lot of walking for small children. Also, the shops in Nassau close at 5, so we didn't get much time to explore.
