Short cruise to Bahamas

Sail Date: January 04, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

It was difficult to get around because of blocked passages and elevators that reached only some floors. Also no clear designations of forward and aft. This ship was about to go into dry dock for a complete overhaul, so may be different when that is done.

Pros: Food, weather, friendliness of crew

Cons: Entertainment, ease of getting around the ship

Recommends Carnival Sensation? No.

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
Evening shows were lame, one-person comedy/magic/juggling not up to par with other cruises
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
Nothing there. Took the Island tour and saw very little, learned very little and wondered why it was considered a "tourist destination" except to sell stuff.
Nassau, Bahamas
This was worth the visit. Took a catamaran snorkling trip that toured the port and identified some of the land marks. The reef was wonderful.
Don't Miss: snorkling
