This ship is in major need of an overhaul. I understand one is planned for next year but until this is complete, I can't recommend it. This is my 5th cruise and 1st on Carnival. The staff was nice and friendly but are working with such outdated equipment they can only do so much. Public restrooms were not well maintained and the elevators were slow and not reliable. Food was OK at best, desserts were better.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Good desserts, OK entrees. Green tomatoes in salads.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good shows and the usual Newlywed game. Better entertainment in lounges.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Did what they could to help, had to ask twice for a hairdryer.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Not well maintained and dirty, always smelled like mildew and like it had once sank.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Good size, terrible decor and septic issues and odors.

Pros: Band in lounge

Cons: Decor, pool, odors

Recommends Carnival Sensation? No.
