A nice cruise for the price
Carnival Sensation Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
Sail Date: July 31, 2008
Ship: Carnival Sensation
Cabin Type: Inside

My mother and I recently sailed on Carnival's Sensation on a 3 night cruise to the Bahamas. As frequent cruisers on various lines, we felt it was a nice cruise for the price.
The service by Carnival at the port was very efficient as it was the fastest we have ever boarded a ship. It was the same on our return. Sensation has good sized cabins; we had an inside with two twin beds which were extremely comfortable. There was also quite a bit of space for the two of us. We have sailed on other lines and had larger cabins but they were suites with balconies so for a short cruise the cabins were more than adequate. The service was above average, however we did have some trouble with flushing our toilet (as well as several other decks on our side of the ship) and the problem wasn't solved until the second evening which caused some inconvenience. Overall, the dining experience was nice (eating every day in the dining room) but the food was not quite as good as we have had on other cruise lines. The Sensation has a very colorful (loud) decor and is having some updates which haven't taken place yet. Only one pool, which was crowded, and the new Serenity Area hasn't been completed yet. For the money and a short cruise we enjoyed it although next time we might try a different Carnival ship.
