Great cruise overall. The ship is older and smaller, which I knew ahead of time, so some of the amenities on other ships are not on the Carnival Sensation. Deon, the program director, was absolutely fantastic and made the trip amazing. He is the reason why you should go on this ship.

Fun Get-together Cruise by tsonal

Overall decent cruise but was an underwhelming experience. We did a get together cruise with a big group and was excited about spending holidays with our friends. The service was below average. We didn't find the crew helpful to respond to any of our questions, where to find a certain activity or location. The room was not as clean as expected. Food was ok, special kudos to Chef Gireesh and Chef Laxman we had very good Indian food throughout our cruise stay. The kids club timings were not the most convenient and staff didn't seem to be happy about doing their job. Generally there was a lack of staff throughout the ship and navigating the ship was a pain.

Over all the cruise was awesome. by klcaso

Over all we had a great experience. We laughed constantly. The only down side to this cruise is that it is advertised as a 3 pool ship. It is not. It has an area that is for children (splash center, adult area that only has 2 small hot tubs and then one small pool with 2 small hot tubs. The hot tubs were always full of people that never got out. Personally I like to swim so I would prefer a larger ship with an adult only pool as well as a regular pool.

Fun cruise to Dominican Republic and Grand Turk by Northeaster

We had a small group of older (age 60) adults - 3 couples, no children. We all had a wonderful time, and enjoyed the shore excursions at Amber Cove and Grand Turk. You'll want an excursion, especially at Amber Cove, because there isn't much to do at the port.

Bring a Power Strip (surge protector) - You'll probably only have a single 110v outlet in your cabin, bringing a power strip will allow you to charge multiple phones or laptops. *Note: Check with your cruise line if you have questions about what electrical devices are permitted.

use the stairs whenever possible so you can eat as much food as you like and try something new.

The dining room was empty at lunch time. It was quiet and relaxing.
