Review summary

The cruise was wonderful. I couldn’t ask for a better honeymoon. Made more memorable by Savannah, the lovely staff, and Elizabeth at the Piano Bar. Everyone we met was kind and thoughtful. We will definitely be cruising again. Be sure to take advantage of everything the cruise offers because there are so many events and parties and different bars to check out.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. We showed up and parked our cars without any problems. Boarded the ship in less than a half hour and immediately had access to our room. Our bag came less than an hour later. We had a late check in time, 2:30 pm, so I am sure that escalated our process but we were still very impressed! Parking prices were a bit steep.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room is honestly amazing. My wife and I chose to go to the steak house and the Chef’s Table experience on two different nights but it was extremely unnecessary. The food provided at the dining room, included in your cost, was fantastic and we later regretted paying additional money for other dinners. My wife and I were both obsessed with the breakfast burritos at the Blue Iguana! I’m not sure if people just didn’t know about them or what but the mermaid grill would always be packed for breakfast and yet, no line for breakfast burritos! Guy’s burgers are also delicious. We were very disappointed by both the service and the pizza pirate. Skip the coffee bar on the Lido deck and go to the one on deck 2. Many more options, quicker service, and the two women working there are just so sweet! As for David’s Steakhouse, it was very delicious but as I said, I felt you could get the same quality food at the dinner room so I personally wouldn’t pay the extra money again. We got Filet Mignon at the steakhouse and then the very next night, the main dining room served Filet Mignon.

Onboard Activities

We really enjoyed trivia, Bingo, and basically any event Savannah was hosting. She is a riot! We were very disappointed by the Serenity Pool, as people put their stuff down in the shaded chairs early in the morning and then will be gone for hours. I believe they should take away the stuff if you are not using the chair. My wife and I went down in the early morning every single day and would check back multiple times a day and still never got to use one of those chairs. That was incredibly disappointing, especially considering that you would see them sit empty with only a bag or a few towels in them. That being said, we were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful the main pool was. We were afraid it would be all children but it actually turned out to be lovely. Especially with all of the live music and the tequila and rum bar right there!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT miss Elizabeth in the Ivory Piano Bar. She plays every night at 9 until 10:45 and then she comes back at 11 for adult hour and plays until 1 am. Not only is she incredibly talented, she’s fun, welcoming, inclusive, and just a wonderful person. We went every single night to the piano bar and we didn’t care what other performances we missed because she was so amazing!

Service and Staff

Every single person we ran into smiled, laughed, learned our names and our orders. It made you feel so special.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Never will I sail without a balcony again.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Wonderful to be able to drive 25 minutes and be on a cruise ship!

Grand Turk Island

Watch out for the rocks on the beach - very hard to swim in the ocean because of them.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Absolutely breathtaking. Spend every second you can in port here. I recommend getting your ferry number before getting breakfast and then eating while you wait for your number to be called. Makes the wait seem less long. Especially because you are pumped to get to that beautiful island out the window.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Once they called your deck number, debarkation was done in about 30 minutes. We flew through everything and that was wonderful. What was not wonderful was waiting in the hallways of deck 3 for our deck to be called. Very cramped and crowded and nowhere for you to sit. Again, I recommend going to the Blue Iguana for a breakfast burrito. The mermaid grill was PACKED the morning of debarkation. You could hardly move. But my wife and I went out on the lido deck, there was no line for breakfast burritos, ordered and had food immediately. We also ate out on the lido deck and it was quiet and peaceful.
