Review summary

We had a great time after learning the particulars and nuances of the ship. There are a lot of children on the ship but we were able to find some time to ourselves. It is certainly not an adult cruise. The Serenity area saved the day although a larger area would have been great. The port of Baltimore was easy to navigate and saved a lot of travel time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Although the initial parking was slow, the embarkation went smoothly with minimum delay.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the staff in the dining room and by the adult pool area were incredibly helpful. In particular Gidi and MaryGrace were exceptionally hard workers. The overall dining room experience was very good as well.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
i very much enjoyed the cruise but would have liked for the adult area, Serenity, to be larger in area and pool size. Please continue to enforce the 40 minute rule for those reserving seats and not being present.. The cleanliness was very good given the age of the ship and the cleaning service received in my cabin, 8235 was excellent.

Ship tip

The Grand Turk Island was devastated by a hurricane and the shopping and pool are the only viable options after docking. If you are travelling without children the only area for complete relaxation is the Serenity bar, sitting and pool area. I would advise that you get a seat early since the space is limited.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
A bit difficult to park and leaving was sensational. It certainly is superior to flying.

Grand Turk Island

1 out of 5
The beach was in disrepair and the only place to go was a shopping area and pool. There is a pool on the ship

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
beautiful beach and pristine water.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
