Review summary

This was my family's first cruise. We didn't know exactly what to expect. Every part of the cruise was excellent. Embarkation and disembarkation was excellent. Very impressed with the speed in which people are transitioned on and off. Definitely would recommend this cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Due to a medical emergency, our arrival time was delayed. Even with the delay, the process was very swift and smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Did not visit the speciality restaurant. Ate breakfast and dinner in the main dinning room. Buffets were nice with a variety of choices. Late night eating was mostly pizza. The burgers and pizzas were very good. Didn't have too many mixed drinks.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center was excellent. Didn't use it, but they had everything that I WOULD have needed. Activities were always scheduled and easy to find. Enjoyed the movies, games (trivia and bingo) and other time killers.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were very nice. Exactly what i would expect on a cruise ship. Comedy shows were great. Comedians offered a PG version for the family and a R rated version for the adults at night. Performers did a great job in each show.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Kid's Ocean Camp allowed young kids to enjoy time with others their age. This was great. As a parent, felt very comfortable leaving child with the camp and felt that he had a great time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall the service and staff was excellent. Steward remembered our names and called us by name each day. Felt as though he really want to make sure our time was enjoyable.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship looked aged.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bathroom shower was not clean. We placed a towel on the flower of the shower as a big stain was on the bottom of the showerfloor. I absolutely loved our cabin location. This was the absolutely BEST location! We were FWD and near the comedy and show rooms. Great view of the ocean.

Ship tip

Carry a set of magnets with you. Each day, you will receive a flyer indicating all of the events for the day. We used magnets to hang the flyers on our stateroom wall. This was very handy as you have very limited space within the rooms.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Very nice.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

Fantastic - Great location and easy to walk to the ferry. Went on the ferry to visit Hamilton. Only takes 20 minutes from the port. JUST make sure you pay attention to the ferry times. The island tour lasted 5 hours and was an excellent way to see the entire island. Unfortunately, did not get to spend as much time on the beach as wanted.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was excellent. Very efficient and orderly. Took very little time to exit ship and go through customs.
