To paradise and back

Sail Date: May 01, 2013

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The Pride is an older ship and beginning to show her age but that did not detract from the many amenities and services provided. Our junior suite was huge and had everything in the way of creature comforts and more than enough storage space. Our cabin steward Puto was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for him or his colleagues. The on board entertainment was really good and Kirk and his chuckle buddies were hilarious. The dining room staff and service were exceptional as was the food\, vast range to choose from to please every palate. I loved the fact that after the first day\, the staff knew our names and it made you feel like a part of the Carnival family. Sometimes the simplest plans gave one the most pleasure\, sitting on my balcony\, surrounded by that vast ocean with a tropical drink in one hand and a good book in the other was perfection indeed.

Pros: Staff and service.

Cons: Paying $120 to hire a wheelchair\, didn't realize how far it was to walk from cabin to elevators..

Recommends Carnival Pride? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Such a small thing\, but the covers on the two stateroom chairs were tatty and in need of replacing.
