Carnival Pride - Baltimore to Bahamas

Sail Date: February 19, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Carnival Pride is kept in tip-top condition although being 10 years old. All is elegant.

Pros: Service on ship was excellent, room quite nice, food superb, entertainment great

Cons: Got sea sick on 2nd day

Recommends Carnival Pride? Yes!

Ship Quality
Ship is maintained extremely well.
Food and Dining
Many food options and the quality is excellent. Food prepared in the Normande dining room is presented in ellegant style. No paper or plastic in any of the food areas. Only china and cloth napkins.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was 6th level forward. Room was designed very well.
Service and Staff
There is approx. one staff person to every two passengers. Staff is made up of persons from all over the world. Their country of origin is on their name tag. English is a second language but most are competent in its use. All staff were courteous and helpful.
Entertainment
There are shows every night in the Taj Maha two story auditorium, which are very good and should not be missed. Get there at least 15 minutes early for better seating. The Butterfly Lounge has comedians most nights and these too are quite good. You can (and should) attend both.
