800 Children!

Sail Date: February 01, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We traveled during the February school holiday. We were told, on the last day, that there were 800 children aboard. Really? We had no idea. They must have been entertained, because it was not obvious that almost 1/2 of the passengers were children. They should have left their discoutreous and rude parents at home.
Overall it was a good cruise.
We will attempt a sailing from a southern port the next time. We may get some southern charm and manners amongst the passengers.

Pros: The best nights sleep ever! The diversity of activities, the cabin steward, Serge.

Cons: The rude passengers

Recommends Carnival Pride? Yes!

Ship Quality
There was constant maintenance, painting, cleaning, going on all the time. The entire ship was spotlessly clean and very well maintained.
Food and Dining
The dinner was very good, every evening. Mmmm....chocolate melting cake.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabin steward was awesome. We were treated like royalty. He attended to our every need, before we needed. Huge kudos to Serge, deck 8.
Service and Staff
The entire staff work hard and witha smile, not an easy task, all the time.
Loved the juggling comedy act. We could have watched that over and over again.
