Review SummaryThis was our second cruise on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore, so we felt comfortable with the familiarity of the ship. We had enjoyed our previous cruise so much, we invited friends to go along with us this time. The moment we arrived onboard, we were greeted with smiles of welcome. Our balcony stateroom was clean and welcoming as we entered, and our bags soon followed. The staff is very efficient, and our steward was there to greet us almost immediately. He got our names, and used them everytime he saw us. Their priority is to make your vacation relaxing and stress-free. For me, that means I don't have to make the bed or cleanup the dishes! As for the cabin, there's plenty of space to unpack everything and store your bags out of the way. The bathrooms are comfortable, and stocked with a few things you may have forgotten. There is also a hairdryer in there, so don't pack one.
My husband's priority was food...and he/we tried it all. The dining room, as always, has delicious choices, superb service and a very accomodating maitre'd. Our assigned seating was not acceptable to us, and he was able to relocate our party w/o hesitation, and always with a smile. The food in Memaid's Grille was delicious. Not just a hamburger or hot dog from the grill, but French, Mediterranean, Mexican and American themed stations daily, and of course ice cream and pizza 24-7. However, by far the best, was our evening at David's Steakhouse. Seated on top of the world, you have breathtaking ocean views while enjoying 5-star restaurant cuisine. From appetizer to dessert, the quality and quantity is overwhelming. Service is divine. We will definitely eat there again..it is worth every penny of the extra fee.
As for entertainment, we enjoyed the casino, but would love if it could be smokefree. I might have left more money in there if it were! The various activities offered throughout the day kept this senior couple moving! Sports and tv trivia, galley tour, and of course, bingo. I was a lucky winner there, second year in a row! And I have to say, as I told one of the young ladies in the troupe, they were by far the best cruise ship dance/singing troupe I've ever seen. Top notch productions (three different BIG shows) in six nights. The quality of singing and dancing was superb.
We have sailed with Carnival before, and will definitely do so again. The Pride is a wonderful ship with a fantastic crew. They make you feel right at home...only better! Bon voyage!

Pros: Friendly and accomodating staff, cleanliness, David's Steakhouse, entertainment
Cons: Would like to know before sailing if there are special themes for the week. For instance, our cruise date ended on Halloween. We didn't know that they would
