This was our first cruise so we have nothing to compare it to. However, we all LOVED this cruise! We have two young children (ages 3 and 7) and we traveled with my parents (in their late 70s). There was something for everyone on the ship.

One thing we weren't happy with is the extra expenses. We aren't soda drinkers, but that would have cost $6/day. Alcohol was not included either and it was expensive!! We are big tippers but we weren't happy with the $10 per person per day that was added to our bill. The ship provided internet but it cost too much! $50 for 100 minutes.

We knew this before we went, but if you cruise out of Baltimore in the winter expect some rough weather and cold temps. We experienced some stormy conditions (50 knot winds and 12" swells) and although it was tolerable, warm temps and smooth seas would have been more enjoyable, as we couldn't spent much time on the balcony or outdoors.

Would we do it again? Yes!! But I'm going to start saving now for a bottle of wine on board.

Pros: Everything

Cons: The weather and all of the *extra* expenses

Recommends Carnival Pride? Yes!
