The Pride is truly beautiful, and the cabinsare larger than most and quite comfortable. The embarkation at Port Canaveral, despitethe long lines, went smoothly. Since we were sailing the week before Christmas, we expected an upbeat holiday atmosphere. While there were holiday decorations, they were somewhat subtleand understated. We heard a few holiday songs the first day, but noticeably lacking for the rest of the cruise. It it quite clear from the moment one boards the ship that the "guests" are expected tospend, spend, spend (as if you had not already spent enough for the cruise). Carnival provides in-cabin movies, but theyunfortunately play the same movies repeatedly. The two movies than run one day will reappeara few days later. There is a library, but itis only open one hour a day - and then thereno one there the hour scheduled to turn in books on the final day. Very disappointing. Will stay with Princess,RCI and Celebrity.
