Carnival Pride Cruise Review
Embarkation was unbelievably slow. Took us over an hour in line to check in and then finally board the ship. Other cruise lines are much more efficient. Food service in the main dining area was rushed. All of us had different entrees served at different times. For example, some had dessert while others were on their salads. Quality of food mediocre and not well liked by other table patrons as well as myself. Room steward was excellent. Balcony room very nice. Unbelievable strong oil smell noted in halls and especially in our room when ship was docking or departing. So strong we had to open the balcony door. Nothing could be done about the odor. Ship decorations are very dark but definitely new and clean. Buffet lunches offer a good variety and you are always able to get a sandwich made at the deli which is different. Found Carnival very lacking in things to do during sea days. Entertainment was excellent. I have traveled on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Holland America and will go back to Royal Caribbean.
