THE CARNIVAL PRIDE WAS A GREAT SHIP WE SAILED THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN ON 4-6-02. WE HAVE 41 CRUISES UNDER OUR BELTS. THE EMBARKATION WAS SLOW AND TEDIOUS, WHICH WAS THE ONLY NEGATIVE OF THE CRUISE. THE FOOD WAS FIRST RATE, ONCE WE TOLD OUR WAITER OUR PREFERENCES, HE MADE SURE THAT IT WENT THAT WAY EVERY NIGHT. THE MAITRE'D WAS THE FIRST SINGING MAITRE'D WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED, AND KEPT THE DINING ROOM STAFF IN GREAT SPIRITS. THE SHOWS WERE FIRST RATE, THE DANCERS MINGLED WITH THE PASSENGERS, AND GAVE INSIGHT ON WHAT WAS TO COME IN THE PORTS OF CALL, ANSWERED QUESTIONS AND MADE GOOD USE OF WAIT TIMES. OUR CRUISE DIRECTOR, TROY LINTON, WAS ONE OF THE TOP 5 WE HAVE EXPERIENCED. THE UNDER 18 LADIES WERE ALL IN LOVE WITH HIM! WE DID NOT CRUISE WITH THE KIDS THIS TIME, ALTHOUGH WE DID RUN INTO QUITE A FEW OF THE COUNSELORS WE KNEW FROM PRIOR CRUISES AND THEY WERE GREAT ON THE OTHER SHIPS. SHORE EXCURSIONS OFFERED WERE VARIED ENOUGH TO SATISFY ALL, THE STATEROOM STEWARD STAYED HIDDEN ALL CRUISE, BUT KEPT OUR ROOM PERFECT! BEING ABLE TO USE THE TV FOR SHIP BOARD ACCOUNT, SIGNING UP FOR SHORE EXCURSIONS WAS GREAT. THE DISEMBARKATION WAS QUICK, SMOOTH AND EFFICIENT, 3RD TO ONLY THE GOLDEN PRINCESS AND THE MILLENNIUM.
