Carnival Pride Cruise Review
We stayed in a Cat. 11 suite that was absolutely lovely and because of that, we were able to embark via the Skippers Club, which allowed us to avoid all lines and was in itself worth the money! The balcony was beautiful and the room was nicely decorated. Our daughters had a balcony room also, and it was also very nice, but the suite was definitely prettier and larger. Either way, if you have a balcony, you will be happy. The food and service in the main dining room were quite good, if not always excellent. We never did the supper club, as we enjoyed the main dining room with our family too much. The second Vegas-style show is much better than the first. The western ports may be somewhat of a disappointment, depending on what you are looking for. Key West is always nice, Belize is what you make of it. We took the shark/ray snorkel tour, which turned out to be a nightmare, getting there and back in a very bumpy boat which ran out of gas and had to be towed. The water and island of Ambergris Caye were beautiful and typical of the Caribbean. Cozumel is a bit too touristy for us, but we liked Chankanaab park where we swam with dolphins. Progresso was actually our favorite port, with a wonderful free beach within walking distance, friendly people, family atmosphere and inexpensive souvenirs. The best part was the ship itself and meeting some new friends for our children. Just wish we had skipped the snorkel tour in Belize. The shore tours manager was no help...the only negative of the cruise.
