We are experienced travelers. While we thought that by booking a suite, the service may be a little better, that is not the case. Our room attendant and the service at the dinning room was very good to excellent, the customer reception attendants and lunch service at the Mermaid restaurant was deplorable. We were extremely surprised when the customer service reception booth had unfriendly, uninformative and uncaring service. They did not seem to care to answer simple questions like, "Do you know if there will be a religious service on board when we are at a port?". It probably would take them too long to investigate!!!! The ship was kept unclean with dirty plates throughout the day as people ate and left their food on the table. We needed to search for clean tables. They would close the buffet lines even though there were people waiting in line for service. They did not care!!! The individuals dressed in white uniforms, they were the bosses of the other service attendants, were unsmiling and quite unfriendly. They looked miserable all the time and made you feel uncomfortable. They even argued with the crew in front of you.

Food and Dining

On the first night, it took the waiter about 30 minutes to get the wine and diet coke that we ordered. That was AFTER we reminded him and he asked me AGAIN what kind of wine I had ordered. We decided to move to another dinning table and the service was EXCELLENT there. Thank GOD!

Service and Staff

We purchased a $38+ card that will give unlimited access to diet coke. While we were told that the waiters would provide this service, my husband had to get the diet coke himself. One time he asked a waiter and pointed out to the direction of the bar. THAT'S THE KIND OF SERVICE YOU'LL GET. They point.....

Ship Quality

The lunch area was always dirty with dishes full of food on tables. We had to look for tables to sit. Dirty cups throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was always spotless and the service was excellent. One of only things I liked about this cruise experience.

Pros: Thank God the weather was good.

Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE..they were unfriendly, unprofessional and lazy.

Recommends Carnival Pride? No.
