Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Suite

The ship overall was nice; the decorations were fairly gaudy. The crew was extremely nice and helpful--we had great service at dinner from Amin & Plamera. The downside was, the three of us were seated at a table set for nine people--no other diners EVER showed up, and the Maitre d' told us that he didn't want to move anyone--so we never got the chance to meet other shipmates during meals, which is for me the big social opportunity to bond with other passengers. Every night, the three of us went to our huge table...and looked like outcasts.
And again--if we had known there was no water slide, we probably would have booked a different ship.

Pros: We thought the food on this ship was better than on the Celebrity line!

Cons: All the advertising for this ship showed a pool with a big water slide--and as we were taking our 11 year old son with us, this was one of the reasons we chose this ship. We found out, however, when we boarded, that the slide had been dismantled. Big disappointment!!!

Ship Quality
Strangely decorated--huge Roman murals of naked people (and I mean HUGE) all over the ship.
Service and Staff
The Maitre d's reluctance to move us is the only reason this doesn't get an 'excellent'....everyone else was fabulous.
Entertainment
Children's Programs
Food and Dining
The caliber of the food & service was really excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a suite toward the back of the ship, and felt like there was plenty of room for the three of us.
Mazatlan, Mexico
None of the shore excursions looked very interesting, so we used this stop as our shopping stop.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Probably the nicest of the three ports...we purchased the Power Snorkeling excursion, which was a blast.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
We went to the Royal Dolphin Encounter, and realized we should have purchased the Royal Dolphin SWIM. Also, our waiter told us about an excellent restaurant...La Palapa...which was one of the best meals we've ever had.
Don't Miss: Dinner at La Palapa
