Review summary

It was a great older ship which didn’t show her age at all. The staff was friendly and on top of everything. Besides embarkation day the main buffet was never overly busy.

Quick and easy process, arrived a little before 10:00 seated in the waiting area around 10:15 and then on the ship shortly after.

The food on a carnival cruise has gotten better than previous years. They have upped their game and done a lot better.

Elation Dining Room

Had this dining room for your time dining. The wait was always under 10 minutes. The first 4 nights service was always quick. The 5th night for some reason was very slow.

Burritos are always good from here, both breakfast and lunch.

Even though an older ship it does not seem like it. Very well upkeep and has a great layout for a smaller ship. Only downside is there are not a ton of the bells and whistles for kids like on the newer ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

Clean and comfortable cabin. We had 5 in this room and it was tight, but doable for the 5 nights.

Ship tip

Going out on deck 10 and walking all the way forward gives you a great front of the ship view.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

Walked down to Eden Rock dive center for free snorkeling. You can give a tip for their facilities but that is all you have to do. You turn right out of the terminal and walk about half a mile. Not bad on the sidewalks.
