First time in an aft balcony. I spent so much time just relaxing in the breeze and listening to the water in the wake of the ship! Loved aft! I will always choose balcony rooms no matter what

Ship tip

It is a smaller older ship. Better for a first cruise or for older crowd. Ship has very little in the way of activity. Pool gets beyond crowded because there is only one small pool

Purchased the carnival beach excursion for 90$. What a waist of money. They bussed us to this tiny walled in area where the actual beach space was so small. The lounge chairs were so tightly packed in you could not go around a chair, you had to walk to the end of a row and squeeze through and climb up on the chair to turn around and sit down. The free drink was a disgusting rum punch. After the second or third load of guests got in you literally could not see the beach anymore. Literally could not see the sand because of how small the area was. I wanted to walk down the beach and when I went past one of the rock walls that blocked off this little section of beach, I was met by an actual uniformed security guard telling me I had to go back to the section I was “assigned to”. His actual words. I bought a beach excursion and was sequestered to a small area that was elbow to elbow crowded with more than 300 people stacked into the area like sardines.

Hated this port! Bay was beautiful but that’s the end of what was beautiful about it. Ugh too many barkers at the port with taxis and souvenirs. Plus was not impressed with the local populations attitude towards visitors. I would imagine they are a huge part of the locations income, but RUDE. And wtf at lgbtqia+ being illegal in Jamaica? Damn catch up to the world
