As the old saying goes you get what you pay for.....I booked this cruise in Feb 2012 Oceanview for $279 P/P......We cruised from 11-26 to 12-1. The weather was over cast and it rained 2 days but I had no problem with that. We enjoyed getting of the ship at Grand Cayman and Cozemel. The best part of the cruise was meeting new friends but if you want to cruise choose another ship. If you want to enjoy sunshine just stay at a resort in FLA. It cost more to get off the boat than it did to get on it. If I ever & I mean ever cruise again it will not be on Carnival! The food was horrible!!!!! Only one decent meal at the Captians Table...but the waiters and all the help except for the bar help was very nice! They would get mad if you didn't start ordering alcohol at 9 am....just a bunch of pests!

Pros: getting of the ship to go on excusurions

Cons: the food was horrible!!

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.

Ship Quality
Very old ship but looked like it had a face lift but still looked from the 1980's decor.
Food and Dining
Food was horrible. The only decent food was served at can't mess up eggs, grits and bacon!!! Everything was over done and even condiments didn't help the taste of the buffet food!
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms so small you would stumble in the night to go to the bathroom....old decor from the '50's. We had porthole and during the storm one night I thought the waves were going to beat the side of the boat and cause us to ship wreck...very scary!
Service and Staff
Everyone one was very friendly except for the Lido deck bar staff!!!
Anything you wanted to see was showing after 10-11pm....this old girl can't stay up that late. Not much variety but you could always watch the shows on the TV in your room.
