We have cruised on five other cruise lines. We have never had food this bad. The service was fine, but the food, across the board was terrible. For example, scrambled eggs tasted like the white paste used in kindergarten. Additionally, the ship was very very smoky. Cigarette smoke was everywhere, and the smell stays with you. We have not had this on any other ship. The casino was a fog of smoke.
The stage shows were good. The room was fine. On the last sea day, we opted for some sun, but the exhaust stack of the ship had an internal explosion, that showered us with quarter size rust particles, and cold! water. This was our first experience with Carnival and it will be our last. Very disappointed. But if you are a smoker, you might enjoy the ride.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
nothing special

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
except for balcony, very dirty

Ship Tip

Get a suite and spend more time in your room. It was the best place. Other cruise lines have the same destinations, and certainly can't do this poorly. Honestly, the food was at times disgusting, with the exception of Special K and Ice Cream, but don't do the Yogurt.
