Review summary

This was my first experience with Carnival Cruise Line. I recently returned from their Monday-Saturday trip to Grand Cayman and Cozumel out of Tampa, carrying the largest percentage of overweight, smoking, heavy drinking tattooed people I've ever seen assembled in one place. If that's the type of party ship you're looking for, then you'll feel right at home.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Rather than picking a seating time, I chose "Your Time" dining which was a nice advantage. There was plenty of variety to the food in the restaurants. The Buffet areas had enough varied selections to make dining there enjoyable.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Not much to recommend the entertainment and activities, which varied in quality from high school musical to frat party raucous.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The room steward was excellent! Dining staff was attentive and pleasant.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Both the common areas and the staterooms were very clean. The deck layouts are easy to navigate. The elevators are slow, so be prepared to use the stairs.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our Ocean View stateroom was a bit cramped but adequate. The bathroom shower was great- hot with good water pressure. Would recommend the U Deck- nice & quiet.

Pros: Dining areas, including a free Sushi Bar

Cons: Party atmosphere

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.
