A disappointing cruise

Sail Date: September 26, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Good ship, but uncontrolled children and no sort of dress code, along with a hectic, crowded condition led to a trip that was not relaxing. We were ready to get off the ship so we could rest.

Pros: Overall, fine ship, good service

Cons: Very crowded conditions, uncontrolled children -- generally hectic atmosphere -- not relaxed.

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean, but very uncomfortable. Box box housing two small life jackets made it impossible to walk around the had to crawl over to get to the other side. Only one place to relax.
Ship Quality
Except for the stateroom, the ship was very good in all areas, especially cleanliness.
Food and Dining
No complaints. Food was good.
Okay, not great...too many mediocre games.
Service and Staff
Catalina Island, California
This is a one-time visit. For those of us who have been there before, there was no need to get off the ship. Taking the tour of the inland areas of the island and a chance to see the buffalo is the only real attraction.
Don't Miss: The over-priced shops
Ensenada, Mexico
If you've been to any Mexican resort city, you've been to Ensenada. Great for someone who's never been to Mexico...we didn't bother to get off the ship.
Don't Miss: Nothing
