Great getaway!

Sail Date: June 04, 2010

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

Had a great time overall. Food was better than it was a few years ago and the drinks seem to be more reasonably priced. Very easy to find something entertaining to do or just relax. We got a room with a window so that we could enjoy our room more, however, the room had a horrible cigarette smell and we were told the ship was full so we could not change rooms. We were also told the room would be filtered and cleaned to remove the smell, but the smell was there the entire time. Wish there was an option to guarantee a non-smoking room; we would love to come back with our kids but won't do so until Carnival fixes this.

Pros: Easy to get to for So Cal residents, something for everyone

Cons: Check in process took too long even with on-line process; no way to confirm a non-smoking room

Lots to do; comedian was pretty bad but everything else was good; I recommend offering more movies.
