Carnival Paradise Cruise Review to Mexico

2650 people (a full ship I am told) packed the Carnival Paradise for the weekend version of the Long Beach to Ensenada trip. It was cramp. The room was very small, three of us shoe-horned in to half a dorm room including a bunk bed. Three nights in these quarters was tough, but it shouldn't be a problem because who is in their room on a cruise right? The throngs of people jamming hallways and clogging up food lines was enough to keep you in your room.
We waited ten or fifteen minutes past the time we were supposed to be seated on all three formal dinner nights. This was not a pleasant experience as it was hot and the non-American staff does not understand basic American customer service. The door to our room broke and I had to call over and over to get someone to come fix it (we were locked out, stuck in the hallway - twice).
Yikes. The staff, which work very hard (and show it), seemed to have no humor left for any of the guests on this weekend.
Ports of Call
Don't Miss: Downtown markets and bars
Pros: Ensenada has improved dramatically
Cons: The attitude of the staff
