I love cruising. But by no means would judge cruising by the 3 day Carnival Ensenada Cruise. It's like the difference between Motel 6 and the Ritz, both provide you a place to sleep but one is bare bones.
If you are looking for a quick get-away that is cheap and fun, Take this cruise. On the other hand if you have always heard about how spoiled you get on a cruise, this is not the trip to take.
For a few hundred bucks you get all you can eat and all you can party. This trip is full of the young and young at heart. I go on it every couple of years with "the girls" and always have fun. The ship is older and not as kept up as many cruise lines. The constant turn around (2.5 cruises a week) probably wears the staff out. The food is nothing spectacular but plentiful. The entertainment is not Vegas nightclubs but still enjoyable.
All in all we had a great time. But keep in mind we went for "A GIRLS WEEKEND OUT" Not a quite high class trip.

Pros: Inexpensive party cruise

Cons: Cleanliness not high on the agenda

Recommends Carnival Paradise? Yes!

Ensenada, Mexico
The bars are packed with drunks, the vendors are all waiting to take advantage of the tourists. Book an excursion or stay on the ship. Papas N Beer is way over rated and VERY CROWDED! We did buy some great Tequila but again locals do not want to discount much to the cruise crowds.
