"Fabulous Weekend Cruise"

Sail Date: January 26, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

My huband and I have just returned from a weekend Mexico Rivera cruise on the Carnival Paradise. This was my second time and my husbands third on the Paradise. We both had a fabulous time on the Paradise. Our cabin was nice and roomy and our cabin steward treated us very good. We enjoyed the bar (midship) I believe it was deck 6/8 near the pursers desk. At night after dinner, we enjoyed the shows on board and continued our evenings at Club Rex. There were only two things we did not like about cruising with Carnival which was 1) Dinner selection did not meet our expectations. As far as appearance of the food it looked great, but overall taste? There wasn't any. Second, this is always a problem as we have cruised many times with Carnival and that is the deboarding process. Of the 8-9 cruises we have done with Carnival it's always the same, "unorganized". Our family loves to cruise and we have cruised with many other cruise liners, but when it comes to Carnival the deboarding processs is very unorganized and very slow process. We think if other cruise liners we have experienced can deboard in a timely and cooperative manner then Carnival could do the same.
Overall, we would cruise Carnival only for weekends but until we see some improvement on your deboarding process and dining (dinner) our more extended cruises will be with another cruise line.

Pros: The new friends we met on the cruise

Cons: The food served for dinner

Recommends Carnival Paradise? Yes!
