Our First, but Definitely Not the Last!

Sail Date: December 22, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

This was our first cruise and we decided to make it our family Christmas present. It was absolutely great! Upon arriving, we admired the beautifully immense "Paradise" cruiser walking up the boarding path, but we were in for an awesome surprise once entering the ship's 7th floor! It was gorgeously decorated- -leaving nothing left to be desired as we gazed up seeing the sparkling upper floors, glass elevators, and twinkling lights of the holiday.
We had two inner state rooms, side by side to accomodate 5 people, which were immaculately kept. Room service was always with a smile and ready to accomodate any need we had. Shows, dining, casino, shopping, spas, hot tubs, exercise room, upper level track, were all part of fulfilling a great Christmas with our family. We will go again...I'm ready right now!

Pros: availability of food to fit any time frame of our family's daily itinerary

Cons: the cost of carbonated drinks, bottled water, and non-alcoholic specialty drinks; also the third bed made up in our room was a bit too small for our 20 year old daughter

Recommends Carnival Paradise? Yes!

Ensenada, Mexico
Our tour guide and tour of the blow hole was terrific. The guide was very informative regarding points of interests and Mexico's history/culture during our bus ride. This is a must.
Don't Miss: Walking around the town of Ensenada needs only two hours tops. The blow hole tour (without the added winery section) is a must.
