The fact that this ship is non-smoking is the main reason we chose it, and it will be hard to go on another ship again that allows smoking. Everything was so clean and fresh! Embarkation was a breeze. We got there about 11:30 and were on the ship at 12:30, after relaxing in the air-conditioned waiting lounge. Everyone was so friendly. For the entire cruise, we felt that the staff went out of their way to please (except the information desk). Th food was good, and our waiter was very nice, however, we were always the last ones to be waited on and the last out of the dining room (early seating in Elation), so it was impossible to get a good seat for the show. The shows were all very good, even the last one that they almost cancelled because the ship was rolling so much. The entertainers were very professional! Our cabin steward was great, and kept our cooler filled with ice so we could chill our water bottles and wine. We booked our own shore excursions on the Internet before leaving, and had an excellent time. We would have used Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel, had I not gotten sick, but others we talked to had a great time with them. In Grand Cayman, we went with Captain Marvin, and In Jamaica with Peat Taylor. We used the spa and found the staff very friendly. Only two negatives. They really push their products (do you get a treatment expecting to pay $1,300 for your home program?!) and I got a complimentary service with my treatment that I was never able to schedule. That was disappointing. Go to the spa tours on the first day. They offer lots of upgrades. Services are discounted on port days and toward the end of the cruise. My husband was having some pain in his back and they took him immediately for a massage, which really made his trip better. You can catch all the port and shopping talks on the TV later, but if you go to them, sit up front and you may get some free stuff. The disembarkation talk was pretty much a wasted hour, as all the information was available in print. It went pretty smooth, and transfers were efficient. Miami knows how to move a lot of people through the port and airport. Getting on and off is so much better than in San Pedro! Overall, it was a wonderful vacation, and we're ready to go again!
