3 Night Baja Mexico (Los Angeles Roundtrip)
Sail Date: July 04, 2008
Ship: Carnival Paradise
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 9 years ago

The Paradise was a nice ship but our particular cabin on Verandah Deck was showing a bit of wear and needed some refurbishment. Some of the public areas were also not very well kept up. The color schemes were beautiful especially in the Atrium part of the ship.

Food and Dining

The quality of the food was great and our waiters also gave us outstanding service.

There could've been a little more variety at night instead of the same comedians. Also, at karaoke time, the host seemed to cut everyone's songs short (even on the last night when it wasn't that busy). That took the fun out of it. Prizes were terrible - same plastic ship on a stick they've given out for years. How about something we can use like T-shirts or any other logo-type items?

We thought the balcony was a bit small and was not obstructed but all of the balconies had a crane in view which can often be misleading in the brochure.

Definitely not a must-see! I came on the ship mainly for the cruise and to celebrate my husband's birthday. The port really was incidental. Shopping wasn't very good - not a very good choice of T-shirts in my opinion like one would have in Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta.
Don't Miss: There really weren't any!

Pros: The food and the service

Cons: Thie ship could've been a little cleaner in public areas
