Great inaugural cruise. So glad to have a Vista class ship on the west coast

Embarkation

We enter through the 4th floor into the Casino and Heroes Bar. Embarkation was quick. I would recommend checking bags w porter this way you don’t have to lug around luggage which will give you accessibility to visit areas once you board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had Anytime dining and with the Carnival App we were able to “check in” to avoid waiting in line. Then when we got there, we just had to give them our room number. It was quick to be seated but you will need to have patience while waiting for the meal.

Bonsai Teppanyaki

Better come with an empty stomach. The meal comes w about 4 appetizers and your main dish. Price is $32 pp regardless if you get chicken to filet minon and lobster. And the desert tray..... talk about AMAZING!

Guy's Burger Joint

Yummy! Top with your favorite toppings : lettuce tomato grilled onions mushrooms pickles banana peppers jalapeños and many Guy sauces

The Library

This was a nice relaxing area. We went in, played a game of checker and really enjoyed each other’s company. So many other families were in there doing the same playing cards, dominoes, chess, etc. it was a nice getaway from the “Fun” to just unwind a bit. It was great

Alchemy Bar

Anna Maria and Zora where So much fun!! The way they interacted w us while making drinks made it a great and fun experience.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse | Brewhouse

We had buffet style lunch during embarkation and it was good! Sausage, brisket, shredded pork, Mac n cheese, coleslaw bread.

Onboard Activities

Carnival Waterworks

5 out of 5

We were told that the blue slide was reserved for the kiddos cause of the water level; however, we were able to go down the RED slide (but make sure to grab your tub before going up). It was soooo much fun. I would definitely do it again. The waterworks is great for the kids. It has lots to do with kiddie slides and water spouts. Every 8-10 min the huge red buckets tips over and causes a nice waterfall effect.

Cloud 9 Spa

5 out of 5

She spa has a thermal pool that sits in the middle of heated stoned seats. There is a bath house, steam room, infrared room, and aroma therapy room in the same vicinity. The sauna are located in the locker rooms. We didn’t stay in the spa rooms but purchased the 3 day pass. Although we only used it one day, it was with the money. Sooooo relaxing

SportsSquare

I faced my fear of heights and tried the Sky Ropes. It was tough for the first few rope stations but once I got comfortable with the harness I was able to gain confidence and went through w no issue. You will need closed toe shoes.

Entertainment

The DJ was great! I love how the musicians are elevated between floors 3/4 so that everyone around has a view and can enjoy their talents.
