Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We cruised out of Long Beach Ca, the ship stayed over night in Puerto Vallarta  and we stopped in Cabo San Lucas for the day on the way back to Long Beach. We had good weather and I saw 4 whales around the Cabo area , also in Cabo I went to the Caboholic Convention,

that was a lot of fun :)

Great trip by Deniseg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our 3rd time on Miracle, that's how much we love it. Let me start with Micky. He was a drink boy on lido. I asked him where I could get a monkey head drink and he said at the other end of the ship. He asked if I wanted him to get me one and I said no that I would get it later. Next thing you know I am on lido and here comes Micky to tell me that he has my  monkey head and he asked what I wanted in it. OMG!!! That was ABOVE and BEYOND what he had to do. Especially when I said I would get it. I decided right there that I loved this boy. LOL The rest of the crew were wonderful but he was a stand out. We did Nick and Nora's Steakhouse on day 1 so we could get the free bottle of wine. We were not disappointed. If you have the extra $35 per person, it is well worth it. I did tea time each time. I love tea time with all the snacks and tea. I always get there early as to get a window seat. It's all about ambiance. LOL

AWESOME!!! by Deniseg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my 1st cruise ever. From the moment I walked on the ship I was in awe. The food was great, the crew was great, everything was great.  I did the dolphin swim. It was the ONE thing I had to do and I was not disappointed. I also went para sailing and loved it. We did the champagne catamaran to St. John and enjoyed it.  Over all, I have no complaints.

Journey Cruise with Friends by markchepler57

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle

We sailed from Tampa, a great port, and enjoyed the Carnival Miracle for the next 14 days. I cannot say enough about the Serenity Deck on the Miracle, it is exactly what I like! Of all our destinations there are only two that I will avoid now, Jamaica and Cartagena, Colombia. We had a wonderful time on a wonderful ship.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Alaska is a must do excursions type of cruise. Dont let the cool damp weather get to you. It actually helped us see whales. Not enough time spent at these port. Absolutely must be on a persons bucket list

Wonderful by Deniseg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was a really great itinerary. We went to Half Moon Cay, Carnival's private island. The sand was so incredibly soft and the water was crystal clear. The crew comes off the ship to prepare an island BBQ. It was out of this world. Everything about this island was as close to perfection as it could get. Grand Turk is beautiful and we did the stingray swim. It was very nice and you get to buy pictures afterward.  Nassau we just walked around town. There is so much to see. However, it was so incredibly hot. All I had to do was breathe and the sweat ran off me. I still had fun though.  The crew was exceptional and the ship was great.

Love this ship! by skelson49

Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Love this ship's overall decor and layout. All in all a great cruise. Serenity area was perfect! Service in MDR is excellent and entertaining. We enjoyed the Punchliner Comedy and the main theater entertainment. This ship is in great shape for its age. Would recommend to any and all.

I’d give it 2.5 stars if I could by ducci

Altogether I will never do a Carnival Cruise again. They are unorganized, corny, over priced for cheap stuff, poorly constructed, and honestly low class. Some people may like that, I mean we are low maintenance rednecks from Tennessee but that’s not what I was hoping for at all with this cruise and definitely not the vacation I paid for. Next time I’ll stick with Royal Caribbean and pay the extra money.

First Cruise to Hawaii by markchepler57

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle

We stayed one night pre-cruise on the Queen Mary then boarded the Miracle. It was a neat experience! Four sea days to Hawaii proved to be too many sea days for me, what couldn't I do? Hawaii is beautiful and we are glad we went there. The weather turned cold and rainy upon our arrival in Mexico; we were only thrre for a few hours because of some law; we were quite ready to go home.

Fantastic 7 nights on Miracle by Dicecatt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle

I'd do the same cruise again absolutely. We relaxed but we also went hard when we wanted. Service was amazing, the food was divine, especially the steakhouse. Our fellow cruisers were fun. The Fun Squad was terrific, especially Chloe, Char and Luiz (hoped I spelled those right). I really love that Serenity has a pool. The whole cruise was truly wonderful.

Amazing Western Caribbean Cruise!! by LoHawk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was for our anniversary and they made it extremely special!! We loved our cabin!! We loved all the service!!! We loved all the employees, food, drinks and everything!!! We were on the fence whether FTTF was worth it as we did not get access to our room right away nor was our luggage delivered until almost 6pm. That is our ONLY complaint! Otherwise everything was FABULOUS and we had the time of our lives and made so many memories!! Definitely addicted to cruises now!!!

Halloween on the Miracle by AuntPinkie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Mexico

We flew to LAX the same day as our sailing (usually go out a day ahead) and we purchased our transfers from Carnival.  Our plane had a fog delay (not common in Colorado)  but we arrived in plenty of time to board the ship in time for lunch.  The Carnival representatives at LAX were on the look-out for us and the 6 others arriving at about the same time.  We had to wait 20 minutes for out bus, but we did not wait for a full bus to head to the the port.

The VIFP lounge seemed disorganized, priority guests were processed along with contractors and it seemed 2 of the 3 representatives were taking care of contractors not guests. Finally another person came into the lounge and took care of the guests. The signage for the next step was poor and we asked were we were to proceed and were told the far door on the right.  That was fine, but once we went through the door we had to ask again.  It was as if they expected the guest to know how to get to the next point. They need better signage.

Went to our cabin as soon as we boarded to drop off our luggage.  The cabin still had the couch made into a bed with the bolsters under the regular bed.  There were no robes.  We hoped this was not an indication of thing to come.  Went to lunch on the Lido and where we had a nice variety of choices. We went back to the cabin and found our room steward, Mauricio.  He asked if we wanted morning or evening service to the cabin.  We requested both and he said, no problem. We asked for ice, robes and to have the couch restored to a couch.  The next time we went to the cabin, all was right.  He was very friendly and happy to do whatever we needed.

We were a party of six with YTD.  The first night we were given a table at the back of the ship near the windows and had a spectacular sunset. Our wait staff, headed by Darell, was outstanding.  We requested them throughout the cruise. Only one night were they not available when we went to dinner (had time off for our late departure in Puerto Vallarta). We took whoever was available.  I'll just say not all wait staff are created equal... Darell and his crew worked hard to get us our food and dessert quickly, so we could go to the early show. The hostess, Chongchong, made sure our table was not filled by others before we arrived.  So if you have YTD try to get table 385...you will have most excellent service.

Unfortunately the menu posted on the TV did not match the menu we got each night. I am not sure if that was because this was the short cruise to get the ship on it's "normal" 7 day schedule or not.  Just a little nit-noy of a problem.

We had the same comedians for the whole cruise.  They both did a good job with the family version and the adult version.  Very funny guys. Adam, the CD, was excellent and Alex, the assistant CD, should be moving up to his own ship as he was terrific. The shows were well done and we enjoyed them a great deal.  We did get a wonderful show from a large group of dolphins on our last sea day during lunch.  They were on both side of the ship and were doing flips, jumps and all sorts of antics; this lasted about 10 minutes (sorry no photos we were too involved in the show).

Many passengers dress for Halloween and so did the crew. It was "cruise elegant" night and we were invited to either dress in costume or our cruise elegant attire. and both were present in the dining room.

If you were bored on this ship it would be your own fault.  Activities all over the ship all of the time.  There is no way one could do it all.

Entered the bean bag toss (lost) and watched the bocce ball.  Several trivia contests throughout the ship daily/  Mini-golf was open 24 hrs... found nighttime mini-golf very challenging. Much more was going on, but these were the ones we chose to do.

We arrived back in Long Beach in heavy fog.  We heard the fog horn starting about 5AM and did safely dock about 8AM.  The debarkation was delayed and no one was off the ship until about 9:30 AM.  Most people seemed to do self assisted debarkation so it was very slow in the beginning.

The ship is beginning to show her age with minor cosmetic problems. But if you like the Spirit class of ship, this is a fun one to sail.

Good cruise with itinerary problems by judithaydin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We did not get the notification of the itinerary changes which in turn made all of our excursions incorrect. It took a long time to clear this up and we missed our first excursion, the best one, because of the mix up. Annette was extremely helpful in resolving the issues.
