Review summary

This was our very first cruise and we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it! Definitely looking forward to our next cruise! The staff made this a very enjoyable cruise. They work very hard to ensure all runs smoothly. We booked an ocean view suite with balcony which I highly recommend.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
So much food available at the buffets. The food in the dining room was very good. Othere than the chocolate molten lava cake, I didn't really care for the desserts. The pies were dry, a little disappointing but it's as though I needed the extra calories...

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
It seems as though they had plenty of activities to keep you entertained. I pretty much just wandered, hung out, listened to music or read and enjoyed my beverages!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Went to the adult comedy show and loved it!

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with children, can't say.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was fantastic. Our steward, Dewa, was very helpful and attentive. Our bar guy, Daniel, at the Serenity Pool and Yoki from Deck 3 dining room were top notch! They were friendly, fun and engaging and on their game!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The staff works hard to keep the ship clean, no worries there.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Will always cruise in an ocean suite w/balcony. Was very enjoyable to be able to walk out and feel the wind. Loved being able to see the sunrise and the stars. Got lucky on a few mornings to be able to see a couple of whales and on two ocassions, pods of dolphins!

Ship tip

Be sure to take a couple of sweaters or pullovers. Gets cool and windy up on the top deck.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Was only there the night before the cruise set sail but will like to go back and visit for a weekend.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Have been to Cabo a few times but was never able to dine at The Office until the cruise. Was not disappointed, yummy food!

Mazatlan, Mexico

Didn't venture out.

I know what an oceanview room is. Its a room with french doors that open, but not really a balcony attached. They are usually blocked by the lifeboats. My point was that you will always have a view of the ocean when you have a balcony. I too have been on Miracle and Pride so am familiar with the cabins.

Clferr the room mhbratt had is called an Ocean Suite - a suite with a private veranda.

Its great to see you enjoyed your cruise and the ship. The Miracle is one of our favourite ships, and we only had a porthole room!

Just curious, was it a balcony cabin or oceanview? I would assume if it was a balcony room you would have an oceanview.
