Review summary

The ship and crew did a wonderful job, the entertainment was not all that as I've seen in other cruise lines, a 3 stars out of 5 is being nice. The Red Frog live band was the best I've heard in a long time.

Excursion: In Mazatlan, we took the On and Off tour bus, which was the most reasonably priced, and we were sadly disappointed. The first place we were dropped off we were told the buses come every half hour to pick up. We waited over an hour only to see buses come and go full. When an empty bus was finally came I mentioned this issue the tour guide and he took offense to it, said they are never late and always have room on the bus. He literately called me a lair. This bus took us to the next stop ..which was called the Golden area or city. Apparently at one time this area was loaded with nice hotels and plenty of visitors, not really the case now. Hotels were old and in sad shape..very bad shape. The bus dropped us off in the middle of town and recommended a restaurant at that very location. Margaritas Mexican restaurant has very good food ..but he prices were outrageous, you need to know the exchange rate or you will be taken. This place used 12 pesos exchange and everyone else used 15-16 pesos. Also check you bill carefully and know what you ordered, they will add beers and mixed drinks to your order if you're not careful. We experience this first hand and later spoke others while waiting for the bus..they too had the same problem. Do not eat at this place. Sad that Carnival allows this
