Fun Family cruise

Sail Date: September 11, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The purpose of our vacation was to just relax and recharge our batteries. We had no excursions and just took each day as it came. We had a great time. Apart from a few things, we and our 3year old and 2 year old loved our time on the ship. Thanks to the friendly staff and happy atmosphere

Pros: Friendly staff\, relaxing

Cons: stateroom is showing its age; balcony chairs were dirty

Recommends Carnival Miracle? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship is very nice and clean. I always saw staff cleaning the public areas.
Food and Dining
The main dining room food was good and nice options. There was not enough vegetarian options at the buffet which was very disappointing.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a regular balcony room. The size was good but the room is showing its age with lots of wear and tear on the tables\, drawers\, doors etc. The balcony deck chairs either had white paint splatter or bird droppings on it. Not very appealing to sit on.
Service and Staff
The staff were great. Everyone greeted us in the halls. Our room steward Tennyson was awesome. Even if we had different schedules on each day\, he found time to clean the rooms quickly and effectively - with two little ones\, we're always coming and going. He also took the time to learn our kids' names and preferences. It made their day too. Also a special mention to our waiter Lelix for 5 of the 7 nights. She was so friendly and remembered our preferences. It made every evening so pleasant and stress-free.
Alot of trivia. At any given time\, there was only one activity happening. A variety of options would have been nice. We also miss having live music by the pool.
Children's Programs
The kids enjoyed themselves. The only thing was the kids schedule was more \"flexible\" than we expected. there were times we planned the day around something the kids wanted to really attend\, only to have it postponed or cancelled due to numbers.
