Review SummaryThis was our first time on a Carnival cruise. We got on board the ship quick and easy and did not have any problems with that. Our main problem was that we booked a balcony cabin and we had never had on before. We had a nice view from our cabin, but the cigarette smoke from the other balconies around us was unbearable. We are not smokers and do not like to be around lots of cigarette smoke. We went to the guest services and inquired if smoking was allowed on the balconies and was told that smoking is allowed in the cabins as well as the balconies and that they could do nothing for us. Had we known this ahead of time we would not have chosen a balcony cabin.
The food on the ship was very good in the main dining room and the buffet restaurant food was good as well. They had a very good selection in both places as well. The pizza was good from the 24 hr pizza place. The only food that they ran out of during the week was bananas and they ran out of them by day 3.
The entertainment was very good they had their dancers and singers do a few different shows that we great. They also had 4 comedians on board and they were all excellent. They also had a ventriloquist on board and he was very good as well.
The daily activities were lots of fun and the staff was very nice and fun to be around.
We had a wonderful time on this cruise, we did have a change of ports but it was for the better. We were supposed to go to St. Kitts, but because a tour group from another cruise line was robbed at gun point the day before our captain decided to skip this island and go to Antigua instead. All of the passengers seemed to be happy with this choice.
Food and Dining
They also had 4 comedians on board and they all were very good. I like Jimmy Carroll the best.
The had lots of activities to do each day as we did have 4 days at sea. We had a hard time doing all we wanted to do, because there was so much to do.
