Miracle was a let down!

Sail Date: October 06, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

It was our first time cruising on carnival. Overall I thought the ship was pretty. The balcony room we had was very big and nice! Although it did seem pretty dark no matter where you were on the ship. Maybe lighten up the place would help make it more livey.

Pros: Staff on board was on point! The room was very spacious and the ext balcony was great and disembarking was easy with no real wait

Cons: Not enough activities planned, DJ Raynman was not a good DJ at all, cruise director was lame

Recommends Carnival Miracle? No.

Food and Dining
The your time dining was great! Our server was the very best we have ever had on a cruise! However the food was average at best. I'm a vegetarian and the options were very limited! You only had one choice every night.
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
I'm not sure how they do it but the staff always called us by name! How do they remember so many peoples names? It was a nice touch!
Children's Programs
There weren't many activities planned at all. The nightly entertainment was lacking. Ticket to ride, singing with the big band, and your fellow cruisers performing was boring. The comedian on board kept saying how he gets more laughs elsewhere, hmmm maybe you aren't funny!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a balcony and I was amazed at the size of our room. Also there was a lot of closet space. The room was well maintained and very clean.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
HMC happens to be the most beautiful private island I have seen! The sand is white and like powder with no pebbles or shells, the water is perfectly clear! It's just beautiful!
Nassau, Bahamas
We went to Atlantis for the day. It is Paradise!!! We rented a room at comfort inn for $156 and got all 3 day passes to the water park. The cruise line wanted $450 for the 3 of us so we saved a lot of money. The taxi was only $4 pp
Grand Turk Island
We rented a jeep from Nathan, one of the locals, and explored the island alone. Totally worth the $80 for the day!
