A Disappointing Cruise

Sail Date: December 23, 2008

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

While beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, the layout of the ship was odd and the decor was "strange" . The commentary in our area of the Dining Room was unanimous about that.

The food was very unsatisfactory. The bottom line was POOR QUALITY MEATS!
In the Lido Buffet - poor quality selections - and, for the first time on a cruise ship, I felt severely "limited" on choices and access. Financial cutbacks and attempts to maximize revenue were obvious and unwelcome.

Waiters and all service personnel were outstanding and efficient. They just couldn't do enough for us.

We are "frequent" cruisers and we will not return. Our dinner mates were "platinum level" cruisers and they will not return!

The stop at GRAND TURK was unplanned - it was a late substitute for St Lucia and it was a complete waste of time.

I will not travel again on the MIRACLE at any price.

Pros: The stop at St. Maarten

Cons: The ship, the food, and Grand Turk

Recommends Carnival Miracle? No.
