Hurricanes don't stop the Fun Ships

Sail Date: August 27, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Hurricane Ernesto was threatening the Caribbean when we sailed from Tampa. The ship's itinerary was altered and we had beautiful sailing weather. We visited all the ports of the original itinerary but in a revised order. So don't let the threat of a hurricane make you change your plans. The Fun Ships of Carnival are well equipped to handle anything.

Pros: Loved the towel animals every night.

Cons: Assigned dining times. Want more than two extravaganza shows in 7 days.

Belize City, Belize

Don't Miss: Snorkel the wonderful reefs
George Town, Grand Cayman
Loved visiting stingray sandbar. The tour leader was excellent and showed us how to act among the very tame rays.
Don't Miss: Make sure to include the stingray feeding.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Don't Miss: Visit the Mayan Ruins of Chaccoben
Cozumel, Mexico
The very large tendering boats (350 + passengers) take 40 minutes to load at the chip and unload at the dock. Use more smaller boats.
Don't Miss: Tulum
